Buffalo is a a home hole with a returning 9. A long, straightaway par 4, Buffalo plays level off the tee and slightly downhill on the second shot. One of the keys is not to be long on the second shot. It takes a fair amount of brute strength. The fairway is protected; it gets narrow and is pinched in by bunkers on the left and right. Course co-designer Garrett Gill's advice is to land on the front edge of the green because there's a severe penalty for going over the green.
