Course History

The Meadows at Mystic Lake started as a nine-hole course in 1974 under the name of Country Hills. In 1980 Country Hills was purchased by Don and Betty McKush and operated as a nine-hole course for the next five years. In 1985 Country Hills was expanded to 18 holes and renamed Lone Pine Golf Course. For the next 17 years, the McKush family owned and operated the affordable and popular golf course.

Then on February 5, 2002, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community purchased Lone Pine Golf Course. The course opened in 2002 under its new ownership. In the fall of 2003 the course was closed for extensive renovation and redesign. When the course reopened in late summer of 2005, Lone Pine was gone and The Meadows at Mystic Lake had taken its place as Minnesota's brightest and newest championship golf course.
