Prairie is a mid length par 5, that plays towards the west. The interesting shot here is on the 2nd or 3rd shot depending on how the golfer chooses to play it. Keep the tee shot on the right side of the fairway because it needs to bend to clear a series of three ponds that go down the left of the fairway. The strategy on the 2nd shot is to play to the right side as well unless the golfer is going for the green in 2. Then the golfer will have to carry the two bunkers protecting the left side approach to the green. The green has a fair amount of undulation, to the extent that as golfers become more familiar with the course, they will learn where to put the ball. It's a very pretty hole, across from the water on the south side and on mounds on the right are natural prairie grasses. It's expansive, a very long hole.
