Hole 4 - Willow

There is a key willow on the short left side of the fairway. A short par 4, it plays 285 to 310 and is an opportunity for a birdie. A drivable par 4, the hole plays uphill, with an elevation rise of maybe 20 feet or so. The golfer needs to send it up the left side to make it to the green in 1 shot. There's a very narrow area to land the ball. If the golfer hits the tee shot (280+ yards) correctly, the ball should funnel to the correct position. The majority of play is envisioned to the right half of the split fairway and from that point is a fairly easy lofted approach onto the green. The green is fairly large and moderately undulating, not the easiest of holes to putt out on. There's a pond off the right front edge of the fairway which introduces the golfer to our concept of a beach bunker. The play to the right would be over the beach bunker.
