A spectacular finishing hole, Moose plays back towards Mystic Lake Casino. This par 5 is the longest on the course and is designed to be a tiebreaker hole. The tee shots carry over wetlands as the split fairway gives the golfer two options. If the golfer can carry it long and up on the right side where the fairway is elevated, a roll will leave the pin up to 20 yards closer to the green. The right side is narrow, long, and protected by bunkers on the left and right. Though there's definitely a reward if the golfer chooses to go long and right, anticipated play is to the left where the fairway is wide and generous. The challenge is on the tee shot. The golfer comfortably in the lead might choose to play it safe. If they play to the left, there is no reasonable opportunity to reach the green in 2. If the golfer goes right and succeeds in a tee shot long and right, they will be tempted to go for the green in 2. This green sits on a peninsula which looks like a tiny island to the golfer. The second shot carries over water. The golfer who is behind can make up 1-2 strokes on their opponent by going right. The designers envision the hole being played most of the time approaching on the left and north side of the water along the fairway. The 3rd shot would be a lofted pitch over a corner of the water but it will have to negotiate a small pot bunker in front of the green. A bogey won't be a bad score for this hole.
