Driving Range

The Driving Range has several targets, mounds, and bunkers, and a short game area on its 300+ yards on 11 acres.  This visually stunning driving range is landscaped to give a sense of isolation from the casino and parking lot.

"It's beautiful! Architecturally, the practice range is one of the first impressions a golfer gets of this course. We wanted it to be every bit as interesting and unique as the golf course itself to reflect the character of the course," said designer Garrett Gill

Use of the Driving Range is complimentary with paid green fees.  A $15 fee will apply to anyone not paying green fees.   Premium quality practice grade golf balls are used to allow a more natural feel to the golfer.

The Practice Range is designed to be both a practice and learning experience for the golfer. With a north-south orientation, the golfer never has to worry about hitting directly into the sun. At the north end is the main practice tee close to the Starter Facility. The practice fairway area has been shaped, contoured, graded, and featured to reflect a Meadows at Mystic Lake fairway. Behind the tee lies water. This main practice tee has the capacity of approximately 35 stations, with a little over 1 acre of turf tee at that end.

At the south end of the Practice Range is the lesson tee area with enough privacy for individual lessons and space for use by up to 15 golfers at a time. This lesson tee area is set up with its own practice bunkers and chipping greens. A small shelter and drinking fountain are located down at south end.

Putting Greens

Two large practice putting greens simulate putting conditions found on The Meadows at Mystic Lake in terms of slope and putting speed. Both greens were built to United States Golf Association specification (as were all greens on the course) and are seeded with the same bent grass that is found on the course, SR119 (Speed Research), a newer variety of high-density premium bent grass.  One putting green is 14,0000 square feet and the other is 8,000 square feet

One putting green lies at the north end of the course and is 14,000 square feet and adjacent to the starter building and the main practice tee. This is the main putting green for golfers to practice putting or staging to play off the first tee. The other is 8,000 square feet adjacent to the clubhouse patio area. This green is a waiting area for golfers preparing for their round as well as a landscape feature for the hotel.
